Who this is for

You understand what happened. Something still hasn't moved.

Some of what shaped us lives below language, in the nervous system, in parts of us that formed before we had words for anything.

That isn’t a failure of insight or effort. It’s a different address.

We work with your nervous system, not your narrative.

My primary approach is Transforming Touch, a gentle, touch-based therapy that helps a nervous system stuck in survival settle into something steadier. I'm also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and I draw on Brainspotting, Embodied Recovery, and the Safe and Sound Protocol.

None of it asks you to retell your story or push through what you can't tolerate. We go at the pace your system can actually take in, and I adjust the approach to fit you rather than the other way around.

What changes

You stop bracing for something that already happened.

Your nervous system has been holding a position it took up a long time ago, when holding it was the right call. Much of the work is helping it recognize that it can set that down.

That doesn't happen by waiting, and it doesn't happen by force. It happens by working with the body directly, slowly enough that your system can come along rather than brace against it.

People notice the change in ordinary places first. Sleeping deeper. Not flinching at a tone of voice. Finding there is a moment between something happening and your reaction to it, where before there wasn't one.

How we begin

What to expect in the first few weeks.

01

A 15 minute call

Free, by phone. You tell me what brought you here, I tell you how I work, and we both get a sense of whether we're a good match. If I'm not the right fit, I'll do my best to help you find someone who is.

02

An intake session

90 minutes. We go through your history properly, so I understand what your nervous system has been carrying and for how long.

03

Ongoing sessions

50 minutes, virtual or in person in Denville. We find the pace and the approach that suit you, and adjust as we go.
