Somatic Healing & Consultation
For the case you keep thinking about after the session ends.
This is the practitioner side of my work, and a separate practice from the therapy I offer in New Jersey. It's for clinicians, bodyworkers, and anyone in a healing role who wants another set of eyes on a case.
Usually the reason is developmental trauma. Sometimes it's that the client is more complex than the framework you're using. Often it's something about the fit between their attachment style and yours that you can feel but haven't named yet.
What I offer
What's available.
Case consultation
For when you're stuck with a client, or noticing something in yourself that's getting in the way. Countertransference, a case that isn't moving, a dynamic you can feel but haven't named.
Single sessions or ongoing, whichever is useful.
Regulation and self-care intensives
Longer sessions focused on your own nervous system rather than a specific case. This work is demanding, and the capacity you bring to a client is the capacity you've built in yourself.
Transforming Touch certification
I'm an Approved Session Provider and Approved Consultation Provider for the Transforming Touch certification, for practitioners working through their required personal sessions and case consultations.
Workshops and lunch and learns
For group practices, hospital programmes, and teams who want an introduction to somatic work and developmental trauma. Arranged individually depending on what you need.
How this works
As a helping professional, it can be hard to receive our own help.
I know, because I've felt it too. There's a particular discomfort in admitting you're stuck with a client, or that something about a case is activating something of your own. It can feel like evidence you're not good at this.
It isn't. It's usually evidence that the case is genuinely hard, or that it's touching something the two of you share. That's worth looking at together rather than alone.
What we'd actually do depends on what you bring. Sometimes it's thinking through a case. Sometimes it's psychoeducation about developmental trauma and what it does to a nervous system. Sometimes it's noticing what's happening in your own body when you sit with a particular client.
Fifty minutes, virtual or in person. No intake, and no obligation to keep coming.
A note on scope: this is consultation, not supervision. I'm not yet an approved clinical supervisor, so these hours don't count toward licensure. It also isn't therapy for you. If what you need is your own therapist, I'll help you find one.
